Don’t Quit Today

Starting is hard. Keeping your head up and trudging through the rough patches is harder.

No doubt in order to get HERE you’ve already climbed a few high hills and tumbled down your share of valleys. Probably faced a handful of personal demons and a few naysayers along the way.

You begin to ask yourself: “What do I have to show for all of my efforts?”

Some bumps and bruises, for sure. Maybe worse.

Now you’re sitting on a rock somewhere deep in the forest thinking if all this pain and agony is worth the trouble.

You wonder if today is the day you call it a day.

Throw in the towel. Give in. Go ahead. It’s your call.

Then what?

But before you give up, hold on a second.

Think back to what got you all riled up about starting this thing in the first place. Let the initial rush of this idea come back to you like a sweet lover. When there was magic in the air. Possibilities abounded. You could hardly sleep. You lived and breathed it. You were not going to be defeated. Remember?

Okay. Good.

Now hear this: Don’t you dare give up.

We are on the sidelines rooting for you. Show us your courage and resilience. Inspire us with your wisdom and strength and determination and talents and gifts.

Finishing is the sweet victory that awaits those who are brave and strong and just a little crazy enough to see it through the end.
