After a personal challenge I needed an outlet to sift out the good, the bad and the ugly, and move on. I decided to look for small hints and silver linings -- pssst...they're everywhere.

This BLOG is my quest to find the awesome in every day. I hope you find something useful, interesting or funny in these posts. Here we go...

My OLD mantra:
Eat Well.
Exercise.
Die Anyway.

My NEW mantra:
Eat the damn cake!
Exercise enough to tie your shoes.
Die kicking and screaming out the door.

Some days it’s a struggle, right? I hear ya.

We play by the rules because Momma taught us it’s the right thing to do. But being a good little citizen is no guarantee we’ll be gifted in return with a winning lottery ticket or 6-pack Abs. Momma didn’t warn you either?

Here’s the sadder news: If you stick around this planet long enough bad shit WILL happen to you. You can side-step it for a while, jump over it a few times, but it will find you. It finds us all. What to do?

BE HAPPY. Yep, I agree. Easier said than done.

I acknowledge that life isn’t always fair or kind or supportive. It's often messy and smelly, exasperated by really bad hair days. But here's the GOOD news: We get to CHOOSE how we react to all of it. (mike drop) This is a big growth moment, people. Don't miss it.
